Anyone tried spraying Nitrous into the intercooler

These work in totally different ways. You won't hurt anything if you spray it on your intercooler, but if you have no clue what you're doing, you can ruin the engine by spraying it in the intake tract. Nitrous isn't even part of the combustion cycle when sprayed on the intercooler - it just makes your small intercooler cool like a much larger one.

Just a little FYI. When you come to a forum and you ask people for advice you might want to pay attention to who is giving you advice. Back a few messages ago Russ told you that you should put the Nitrous in the engine instead of the intercooler. He did not post up to flame you, he just knows how to use nitrous the right way. Next time you get a chance go to times.dsm.org and look up Russ Coxe and see where he is. Then you'll understand why he said what he did.

The nitrous just cools the intercooler right? Someone was saying somewhere that this can harm the motor, turbo, etc. I don't see how. They said spraying it with a water setup is better. IE like a rally style water pump connected to a fuel cell with water and then garden sprayers. I would think N2O would be best. Colder=more power.
I have heard too many horror stories to ever want to use N2O in my motor. When I go turbo, I may use the IC sprayer b/c it adds power, and adds to cooling efficiency. I just can't believe people say I dunno anything then say water is better to spray on than N2O. How would that be?

Alright thats it, i'm confused, mavisky says the outside, gst says inside. i think i'll go with outside since spraying it into the core would mean it'd travel up into the intake anyway and would be the same as putting a dry system on your motor but with a delay right? nitrous isnt my bag, turbos are, so sorry if i'm asking a stupid question.
dude.....in your profile you say greddy evo for 650????? DANG, i guess i got hooked up since i got mine for $510..anyway, that was really off-topic..sorry
heh

No one should have any problem spraying a 35 or 50 shot to a turbo car. Nitrous is a turbo's best friend. Cools the compressed air down big time. Cooler air is denser & denser air has more oxygen in it & more oxygen = more power + youre compressing it too. To make the nitrous hit a little softer try spraying it after the bov. Also say if you usually run 20psi, try turning it down to 15psi & go do a couple log runs & gradually turn it back up to get thing right. You might be able to turn it back up to 20psi if you get it tuned right. Just be carefull.
