Anyone seen/installed high wing on spyder?

That bondo might end up cracking on you. You really should have welded those holes then done bondo or atleast used some fiber bond.

if you're going with any high rise wing get a checker wing....they are superiors to all.

I've already stated in another thread that welding the holes would be best.However,I welded the antenna hole on my old 1G and no matter what filler or anything else I put over it,it would crack over the weld in about a month and you could see tiny air bubbles.I've had primer on these for almost 2 months and nothing has showed up so from my experience,as far as looks are concerned,body filler is better plus just a hell of alot easier to do if you don't have a welder.

I filled mine with JB weld a couple of years ago. I really only intended it to be temporary but there is no sign of cracking at this point.

Yeah,I really can't see something cracking or falling off unless it took a direct hit and then those holes will be the least of your worries.Thats pretty cool you filled those with JB weld...I wouldn't have thought of that.Glad to hear its doing ok with no signs of damage also.

I think the turbo wing looks better on talons than on eclipses. I'm sure most people wouldnt agree but I think its mainly because of the rounder tails on the talon. i think it flows better with the rounder rear

I hate it when people try and pull off the turbo wing. I had it on my 97 GSX of course and people always asked where I got the spoiler from??? Then you get the people with 2ga talons and eclipses that put it on along with their 3 piece. I even saw a newer Mercury Cougar with one on?????? Come on people it belongs on one car and one car only. If your car is a Talon, just be proud of it.

Just so you know, some Mercury Cougars came from the factory with that wing. It's not just 97-99 GST/X's and 99 GS OZ 10th Anniversary Special Editions. I think if you saw the pics of both the Cougar and A 2G you would barely see a difference.

i'm proud of my talon but the factory spoiler is
turbo spoiler on my talon
maybe it doesn't look as good as it does on a 2gb eclipse but its a helluvalot better than wingless imo, or the thumbnail

A Wing looks like TT. A spoiler is rounded. Anyways, IMO any 2g looks amazing with no spoiler. It makes it look so clean.

Not to piss anyone off but isn't a huge wing on a front wheel drive vehicle (since all the production Spyders were FF) kind of pointless? Wouldn't technically adding downforce to the rear of a machine that already understeers around turns just increase its tendency to understeer? Not like most of us will ever actually take our cars to the kind of speeds where it would matter anyways. But on a side note, I think the turbo wing looks awesome either way.
