Anyone running bullseye bolt-on turbo?

Good point, we decided to increase the diameter of the carbon fiber at the outlet to allow for your silicon hose to slide underneath and clamp to its original location. This will also hide the clamp for a cleaner look.

So it's just a cover? Like those battery/fusebox covers?

I just received my new T04B from Bullseye.

I was wondering what all steps are required before the Turbo can be installed. For example, the impeller doesn't spin freely or evenly. -Almost feels like metal rubbing metal (I did of coarse prime with oil before-hand)

My td05h/14b spins quite smoothly and freely (not sloppy though)

I guess I'm not real sure what to expect here...

Also, the threaded tap is for oil feed, and should be situated on TOP of the installed unit. RIGHT?

And the semi-square port is for the oil drain, and goes on the BOTTOM of the same, correct?

I'm HOPING someone experienced is burning the midnight oil tonight and can shed some light here, because otherwise, I gotta stop until I have some certainty... :dsm:

im not sure about why it feels weird when ya spin it but you have the lines in the right spot

the housing needs to be centered I believe. It's rubbing all the time or half the time when you spin the wheel? I'm sure they'll be willing to fix that

I'm not any type of materials engineer, but a carbon fiber compressor housing???? Come on! I absolutely guarantee that there's a GOOD reason we haven't seen those already over in the land of performance innovation aka Japan... Carbon fiber is pretty tough but I mean it's only as tough as the resin that's poured over it to give it shape and make it pretty. That stuff is VERY susceptible to heat etc, discolors, becomes brittle, it just seems waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too gimmicky. I mean if it were that trusty in a heated application then why stop with a titanium catback to a cf muffler when the whole thing could be carbon fiber?

Blah, it's 2:26am and that turbo just don' seem right :p

uh, actually I was hoping to hear that that ws WRONG, because this thing now appears to be set up upside down.

The "rubbing" is exactly what I'm talking about, too. so Is this thing defective? or was it just assembled improperly. I'm stuck without a car unless I want to bolt my old stuff back together

Wow, I see what everybody means about Dave's committment to his customers...

It's now 7:45 Mtn time and my Turbo is CORRECT and ready to be installed.

(BTW Dave, Thanks for the gaskets which I forgot to order. )

Wow, bullseye has some great looking stuff and some nice deals. I can see why they're becomming so popular.

I recently ordered a 1g T4 oil feed kit.. very fast shipping, great looking parts. only thing I have to say is the feed line is long enough I could feed it from a port on the rear of the motor.

if you look at the picture the feed line is connected to the turbo and thats whats shooting out on the right of the motor!.

BTW.. this motor is not going IN my car it is my "fitment" motor :thumb:

I ordered a T04b from bullseye-power.com, I also ordered a gasket and oil feed/drain line kit off of them. So, Whenever one of these threads show up, I do nothing but talk good about them, In my personal experience, They are great with customer service, Even after they have your money.. They get your products to you when they say they will.. And they give awsome deals. I have a huge thread names " Help deciding, Evo 16g or t04b vtrim, Please help" Or something like that, There is lots of great information, And some very good picturs of everything also. The only regret I have is.. Not buying this turbo sooner, Before I went and bought a s16g then a b16g. :D :thumb:
