Anyone running 245/50/16's on 2g?

I run 245/50/16s on my 1g also.. A 2g has better clearances so you should have no issues

I've seen TurboJuice's setup over on DSMTalk but he's running the 245's on a 7in wheel which is way to small for that tire

245s will work in the front, but not in the rear. 245/45.16 was the standard 2G autocross tyre before the 185/30.18s became available. With the right offset (Kosei K1 16x8.5s) they would just tuck inside the front fenders with camber bushings, but the rears were a country mile from tucking, not even close. I think it's fairly common knowledge that 235s will clear on a 2G, but nothing wider, not without fender work in the rear (at least).

Just to stir the pot--I just installed some 18X10 +38 on the rears of my 96' AWD Talon with a 245/40s:

Just enough to clear. the fender will need good roll and a slight pull but I can't imagine having to run more than -2° camber:

My specs are different, obviously, but at +38 offset as the similarity--I wanted to throw that up on the post. GL with your findings!

@tylersevo did u ever end up getting 245/50/16's? still considering trying this type of setup. Possibly a 16x8.5 with a 245/45/16 at a +39 offset

I have run a 255/40/17 on all 4 corners of my 2g with a 17x8 +38 wheel with car lowered on k-sport coilovers. I took a fender roller and rolled the lip up on the rear as to not destroy the tire in case i hit a big pothole.
