Hello everyone.

I have been wanting to go to the track ever since I installed my EVO III, but I am a little hesitant. I have never even been to a track (even to watch) and would have no idea what to expect. I think Beaver Springs is the closest 1/4 track from me. None of my local friends are into that type of thing, so I would be going by myself. Anyone want to show me the ropes?

beaver springs is a good track. I am rebuilding my engine in Oct and hoping to get to Beaver springs at end of Oct when its nice and cold out (and hopefully no snow). I'll let you know if I do. :thumb:

I am planning on going to beaver at least once in the next month. I have a track rental at the end of the month but I wanna go prior. You just gonna run street tires its a blast! Let me know P

Do you guys go for the Friday Night Street Race event? How much is it? Does Beaver Springs require a helmet, I hope not, because I don't have one :(

I can't wait to run a 16.5 with my EVO III LOL
 
YOu need a helmet for BSD with a convertable no matter what. You will run better ET's at PRP however being fwd. BSD is sligltly uphill the first 330', but I still managed a 12.9 with a fwd 2.2 sixtey. BSD friday nights are fun. PRP tue and thur (sponsored by SBR) are busy and stressfull IMO but the track turns much faster times for me (.3 sec and 2 mph or more). It also sixties .150 seconds faster on average for a fwd street tired car.
 
Do I need a special type of helmet, or can I just see if my dad has an old motorcycle helmet?

As far as the difference between tracks, It doesn't really matter to me as I can't launch my car to save my ass. :coy: I'll probably have a 5 second 60' :sosad:

Whats up Mike! I have been trying to get a date set up for oct.1st Saturday from 1 to 4. Still in the talks with beaver bob to get it done! Always looking for more cars! Would like to get about 20-25 guys. If you guys are interested hit me up. Is the STi hopped up yet. You said it was gonna stay stock but I knew better. Would make for some good Test n tune for the race cars! Let me know P
 
Beaver Bob is a dick. You just have to work with his personality. Or you can write "V8's SUCK!!" on the hood of your car and really piss him off LOL.

He has also been known to cut into your paid track rental to let the V8 guys run. He cut out a sport compact timeshot last week so I only got 4 runs in. When I'm improoving 2mph each run and my sixties are hit and miss due to his poor track prep every run counts.

BSD also has racegas at the track. PRP does not. I don't require much race gas as I just throw it in with my pump gas, but its such a hassle to carry and I can't seem to find it locally or I'd be running it on the street too.

I know we will bring 3-4 cars...

Danl What type of race gas are you looking for? I used to get vp112 at cernics for 45 for 5 gallons, but lately I have been getting turbo blue in Roaring springs 5 gallons for 27, mix it with some 94 and it runs like a champ. There is a guy in claysburg dively that has c16. And I got a hookup for sunoco 118 but right now Im gonna get a barrel before the gas price gouging gets too high.
 
Beaver Springs is the shittiest race track i have ever seen in my life.

me and some friends ran at Numedia Raceway tonight, much better track, and you dont roll back while staging :rolleyes:
 
Beaver springs is the drivetrane killer with you rolling backwards off of the line unless you play some sick game holding the e brake up while watching the tree and launching the car all in sync at the same time..I'll agree,numedia would be a better track for you guys but it's alittle further away..
 
I agree staging at beaver is a bi***. When you let off the brake and get ready to run yeah you roll back. Numidia is much better. But have you seen Beaver Bobs daughter? :sneaky: Giggidy Giggidy.

I dont think I've ever seen you around these parts before?..Have you had your car for awhile or just bought it?..I drive a all black gsx,you can't miss it..Well,it's a all black gsT right now.. :coy:
 
I'm at Numidia every friday nite. There are never any dsm's. I seen a laser once, And some slow 2g's. Other then that, No dsm's. I'll be going tomorrow again, Unfortunatly not in my car, Being it is down for alot of mods and should be up finally in another week or two! Anyone else go to numidia fridays?

Track is all reserved... we will probably head out late Friday night, and maybe stay till Sunday and party a little out there Saturday night :)

I got the car back in January it didnt hit the road until Feb so its been a couple of months. You have to be the guy that is devastating everyone up at the circuit. Maybe I will see you up there some weekend. Flag me down if ya see me I will do the same. :thumb:

Not for awhile..I had some issues with the car that I have to get worked out over the winter..I went down last week though and watched joe and nick and them guys from nepadsm.com run..I might come down and check out you sbr guys this weekend at beaver.. :thumb:
