Anybody up for a meet in the Charlestown/Martinsburg area?

Hey all, I'm new to the DSM scene, and am looking to meet other enthusiasts to see what they have done. I was thinking of a meetup at maybe the Charlestown Wal-Mart. Anywhere else not too far would be okay, Hagerstown isn't too far. I'm not too familiar with the area as I am new to WV, I'm from Silver Spring, Frederick, basically all around Maryland. I own a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, near entirely stock, just a different exhaust to my knowledge. Let me know what you guys think of a meetup.

Im down. But... you will have a hard time finding anyone else since there are not many of dsms in our area. I bet there are like 5 or so dsms in that are who are on this forum. The only fast one i know sold his car when it blew up.

I see a bunch of DSM's up here, and occasionally a 95 Eclipse and a 95 Talon in my neighborhood, but I can never seem to reach their owners. There are a couple of nice ones around here, but the ones I've talked to don't care about clubs, or were involved with DSMCA but dropped out. I was not aware of the DSM history until I started digging around after I bought my car last November, and I'm not really a "car guy"...but I want to be. A guy from DSMCA says that he lives in Charlestown, I'll see if he's willing to come. I don't have any exact dates yet, as I have yet to start my new job. Keep me updated and I'll do the same.

We could maybe meet up the first weekend in march. Thats when Mason Dixon Dragway opens up. I go right past Martinsburg on my way there. We could get together and then go to the dragstrip. Just a thought.

i have seen a white ecplise. raced a older red 1st gen ecplise in my malibu and beat em. i am starting see more dsm.

I am in harpers ferry every now and then as my dad lives in shannondale.I am actually planning on going to Mason Dixon and running on March 4th. Maybe meet somewhere and drive down??

Alright then, I propse that we meet at the Martinsburg Wal*Mart right off of exit 12 on I-81, somebody name a time (just not too late) on Saturday, March 4th. We can hang there and maybe grab some food, then head off on I-81 to I-70 to Mason Dixon. I'm not sure how much it will cost to get in...maybe somebody can help me determine this so we can post it? I'm on a tight budget, but a day at the track would be worth the money, especially to see some nice DSM's. Also, I am going to alert the DSMCA of this, half of them bi*** that the Get Together will be in VA instead of MD, so maybe this will be an alternative.

It was 25 for test and tune last year, I assume it will be the same. I like getting there before they start racing so I can get my car inspected and let it warm up. If we are gonna meet, it would have to be pretty early.

I have no problem with it being early, so why not. If it is easier on some of you, we could also meet at the Charlestown Wal*Mart off of Route 340 and take that to I-70, or you could just meet up there, but I am infatuated with the idea of a whole lot of DSM's going down the same road, that would kick ass.
I'll let you guys know what the DSMCA thinks of the location, and I'll try to pick one shortly. You guys let me know where you think would be best.

We can meet in martinsburg. Thats like 10 min from Charles Town which is where im at. And then drive up to MD. It will be funny when we lay the smack down on some ricers out there. Well... you will and... I wont. Lol. My car is mad slow.

Sounds great, maybe around 7 or 8 a.m.? , yeah, watching some of you beat ricers will be fun...but I can't do it, it's not my insurance on the car. I'm listed as a driver and pay the premium, but I had the car put in somebody elses name because I couldn't afford it on my own. Let me know what time you think is good, and I'll see you there. I think we should meet in the back of the parking lot, furthest away from the mall, I should be there rather early, since I live like 10 minutes down the road.

I know where you can get your car inspected. If you want it bad enough you could follow me up the road to hampshire county and I can show you a place that will inspect it.(shhh) I think the gates open at 10:30 so, if we meet at 8 that should give us plenty of time to b.s and then get there with time to spare.

Um... let me know if you want to go there and I will come too. I still have VA inspection sticker on my car from when i got it. And i have WV tags. It worked for now but I could use a nice WV sticker.

Believe it or not,there are close to 20 GVR4s between the Martinsburg/Winchester area. The problem is %90 of them are apart!

I have two,a '91 and a '92. I am working on a new setup on my '91 this week-I am not sure if Ill have it track worthy by the 4th but I plan to go watch at least.

Mason Dixon is going to be a bi*** this year now that 75-80 is gone.
