Anybody swap gvr4 ring&pinion in a TEL 3 bolt rear

Anybody put a gvr4 ring&pinion in a TEL 3 bolt rear end? The reason I ask is because I am getting a 1990 jdm gvr4 switchable tanny & transfer for my 91 talon tsi awd. I've heard that I need to switch the rear end gears to match the tranny's. Is that true? And what year of gvr4 rear end would I need?

hmmmmmm...... from what I understand, the GVR4 found in the US has the same rear end as TEL's, JDM's are diffrent, for the diffrent Trans, I dont know where to get this trans, Nore were to get the gears. Try asking ur Importer were you can get it.


VFAQ has the gear ratios.

Do you know for shure that the jdms gears are different than the us version?
