just wondering if anybody had had ANY problems removing the emissions from a 1g? i have alot of boost/vac leaks, and just thought about removing all the emissions stuff.of course following taboo speed shops page.

Ya, go for it. Their are many thread on here on the subject, to help you out also. It is not hard by any means, it just takes a while to figure everything out and see what need to be plugged and what not.

I did it when I swapped motors... casue screw hooking all that crap back up. The only problem I have post swap is an occasional high idle, other than that, mileage is still decent, no leaks, and less headaches :D

No, and virtually no gains, either.

I guess if you're too non-motivational to get a spool of vacuum hose and do an afternoon's worth of replacing, there's a payoff in it for that. But you'll still be having to install and tie-wrapping a mess of vac caps.

You will run slightly hotter at cruise, and get a bit less mileage if you remove your EGR, but that's only on California 1Gs.

BLAH!!!
Ya I'd sure hate to have that MESS OF VACUUM CAPS when I could have heaps of CLEAN LOOKING vacuum hoses instead.

RIP THAT CRAP OUT!!! Your vacuum caps are going to be much less cluttered looking then that dozen or so vacuum hoses going everywhere. I won't get into the YA's and NAY's of it all, because it has been debated before many a times. But I say do it. Just make sure you got a blockoff plate to replace where your EGR is.

I did the same thing. When I bought my Talon it had vacuum leaks all over the place. I was either going to replace them or just take it all out. I took it all out and placed a few vacuum caps here and there. It looks much better under the hood and now I have ALOT less of a chance at getting leaks.

can someone give me the link on how to do this please and thankx.... and is it relatvely easy??? couple hours of work....
