Any one with KYB-GR2's?

I am needing new shocks for my 98 GST, really bad, it bounces around and bottoms out very easy (weird it only has 68k on it  ). The suspension is all completely stock (well, I do have 17"wheels if that counts for anything) and I don't ever plan on lowing the car or anything like strut bars, etc.

I found some pretty good deals on ebay for some KYB GR2's ($183 shipped). I was just curious if anyone has these and what they think of them. I saw some Tokio HP's that were about $50 more.

Do you think that the GR2's will be okay, or should I just go with the HP's? Thanks.

I currently have the KYB AGXs on my 90 and my wife is rolling on stock shocks with Tein-S springs. My AGXs are a bit tight even on the lowest setting. If I had to buy another suspension setup for my car I will definitely go with GR2s next time. My wife's shocks are starting to show wear also and I will be purchasing the GR2s for hers at the end of the summer. I say go for the GR2s.

I've road on GR's for about a year now. My ride is lowered with H&R springs. The KYB GR2's are excellent for the money. I'm very happy with my investment.

Thanks for the responses guys... I am going to go with the GR2's.

I have the GR-2's and they are great. You stated that you do not plan on any lowering of the car so these shock and struts will be perfect for what you want. In my
opinion the GR-2's give you a slighty stiffer feel than factory but are still very smooth. If
you have any thoughts about lowering in the future do not go with the GR-2's because
they are not designed for cars lowered more than 1". You will have to spend more money and get something like Koni's which have a shorter shaft. Hope this info helps with your decision.
