Is any one using one of these? They say that they flow better then a 2g and a Evo mani and for 169$ i think i might take the risk. Im gettin about 1400$ back for income taxes in a week or two. I was also gonna get a full 3" Apexi N1 dp and catback, and a joe p mbc with autometer boost gauge with pillar. Any suggestions for the other 500$ i was thinking of saving it and gettin the fuel kit from extreme PSI for 600 comes with 550's walbro pump and SAFCII. My motor for the most part is stock, I just had all new gaskets and seals put in and the balance shafts removed.

Any suggestions will be appreciated :rocks:

I don't really see the last two pics that SkiBum sent, but all the other pics of the EVO GT manifold are pics of how you get it. No porting has been done in those pics, it just comes that way. :p

Are you asking if you should get a new O2 sensor along with the ported O2 housing? Depending on how many miles your current O2 sensor has seen its up to you. They are not exactly cheap (relatively).

If you have the right equipment the porting isnt that difficult. A pneumatic die grinder (with a compressor) and a carbide porting bit make it very easy. It took me a couple hours to match the openings. I also did my O2 housing to match the 2.5" downpipe I have.

Good luck!

Just so you know the Apexi N1 is 2.5" at the begining of the downpipe, then expans to 3" halfway down the DP.

WOW! Is all that comes to mind when it comes to this manifold.
I just purchased one from RoadRaceEngineering.com and its
AWESOME. The fit is perfect and the casting is beautiful. A++

Thanks for the info

Also welcome and could you update your vehicle profile

I looked at all the gt manifold posts and couldnt come up with an answer. It appears that dsmparts has the gt manifold for a litte more then turbochargers.com

Although....the one from turbochargers claims to be ported as we already covered, but it does not say anything about being tapped for an EGT gauge. Considering I already have the egt, it makes a big deal. I dont really want to tap it myself.

Perhaps I will give turbochargers.com a call, if nobody knows an answer to this.

And has anyone purchased these manifolds and seen if either are really ported?

I bought mine from turbochargers.com and recently got it. It is tapped for an EGT gauge and also has the plug in the mean time for those that don't yet have an EGT gauge.
It's not a "true" ported manifold, but really a casting of a ported manifold from the looks of it. Either way it looks like it will definitely flow better than a 1G, 2G and possibly even the ported EVO III manifold (cracked) I currently have.
For those interested, when I pull my ported EVO III manifold I will do a side by side comparison to see the differences between the two. Im sure it will be good information for those in the market for a replacement.:talon:

Thanks for your input man. I am def buying the one from turbochargers.com. Its only 145 shipped, you really cant beat that for a brand new manifold of those dimensions.
