I have a 95 eagle talon that has its typical problems. Every now and then my antilock brake light goes off and stays off. Then it will come back on. I checked it out with a scanner and it said that my pump was not working. If it doesn't work then why would the light go out and stay out and my antilock brakes work when i am in the rain. It seems to only go out after it was raining outside? Any ideas? Thanks.

You car will run and drive FINE with the ABS light ON. However, if you apply the break to hard, it CAN lock up your brakes. ABS only keeps your wheels turning and keep them from locking up. If you are confident and comfortable with your car, you can drive it with the ABS light ON, and the ABS affectively disabled.
