Last night I shut my car off, and noticed my antenna didn't go down. Same thing today. Is something like stuck or something? I can't seem to get it to come down. LOL Sorry if this is a lame question but I'm new to the car scene.

My wife's 97GST was the same. You can hear the motor in the back winding and a clicking sound. When I removed the motor the white hard plastic belt with the teeth on it was broke and it was off the wheel that turns it. All I did was remove the assembly and raised her antenna half way and kinked it so it would stay. Probably gonna get one like mines, its just a oem stick like antenna not power or anything. Less crap to worry about.

Or save yourself endless future problems of the same by replacing it with a $15 stationary one at Checker. I've never been happier. (I live where it freezes so I even put in a manual switch to keep it up all winter but the belt/gear still eventually broke. I haven't ever found an auto antenna that works more than a few years - especially in wet or cold climates.)
