170-165-130-165 are the numbers and I need a new piston ring with only 90,000 miles

what parts should I be replacing as the head and oil pan are taken off and the rings are replaced? so long as there is no cylinder wall damage

so far I've bought a full engine seal/gasket kit, timing belt replacement parts, stock sized rings from Mitsu., and a flex(ball) hone.

Should the rod and main bearings be replaced too? or anything else?

i dont think id worry about anything else until it needs it aslong as the walls and pistons are all right.

my target is around 350 hp with a 16g, are any upgrades needed/required or is there anything that would make a significant power/reliability difference that I should look into?

I'm not going to have time to take any parts anywhere while it's apart. I'm using a friends car lift and don't want to leave it there. So parts are coming of and going on. thanks though

Considering something caused the rings to go bad previously; woulnd't you think the new rings would go bad also, unless they were bad rings from the beginning

I would do the rod and mains personally. To think that you will have a motor with 0 miles on the rings and 90k on the bearings is asking to be taking it apart again to change them. As long as the cylinder walls are ok a good hone should do the trick.
