What do I need to change/replace on my 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST for a tune up? Thank you!

Heh. Well. On the chassi, just rolled over 120k, but im pretty sure i have a differant engine in the car (a 1.6 engine, 4G61) so im unsure of the milage on that. I basically am doing this HOPEING ill pass emissions

If you dont know, DO THE TIMING BELT!!! And basic 40k stuff like plugs, wire, oil change, etc. What makes you think its a 4g61? Just out of curiousity.

That still looks like a 4G63. That "stamp" doesn't exactly look professional. Did you have someone confirm it is indeed a 4G61? I see that someone asked for you to post the engine VIN. Did you ever get around to finding it?

When you look for a car do you usually think to look at the engine stamp to see if its the right engine when it looks exactly the same? I said that because I had a picture of the engine code on the block. I didnt think to look at the damn code on the engine, till my insurance company called and told me that i didnt have a turbo car so it was cheaper, so i looked to see if it was the 1.8 with a turbo kit, but nope, its even worse, . Sorry if I offended you, i'm not triing to start an argument.

Sorry, I meant an actual engine plate with the particular code on it. That looks alittle sketchy to me.

Maybe the 20 files carfax has on that vehicle will give some answers for you.
