Ok, I konw there are others out there who have this problem (I've spoken to them in the past). With my GM Maf and translator (version 1.3) using DSM Link and a aem 3.5 bar map sensor I noticed that my airflow readings are way off in the upper RPM's. When setting my boostest to match actual airflow in DSMLink I have to pull out 20% airflow from about 800HZ and up or else my boostest is way higher than actual airflow. I have the MAF translator set for 450cc injectors so I can tune with DSM Link.
I am using the Maf in blow through mode.
I guess I just want to know how many people actually have this problem with the GM Maf and if there is a better work around then removing 20% airflow in DSM Link. It's a tuning nightmare!!

Relevant mods:
6 bolt, Holset HX-40, Greddy FMIC w/ 3" short route pipes, 1G head swap, Cyclone intake manifold, 1G TB, 4” intake, Walbro 255 (rewired), Tial BOV, DSMLink, 1000cc injectors, -6an fuel lines, Aeromotive AFPR, 3” GM MAF & translator, Evo III manifold, FP2 Cams, 3" exhaust, ACT 2600.

That's pretty much the only way to adjust it.

I actually have version 1.3 in my 2g and i tried to calibrate it and it was just headaches. I ended up throwing the stock 2g mas back in and haven't looked back since. I still have the gm maf setup on the car in blow through, just not being used by the ECU. I will probably start using the gm maf again when the new version of dsmlink comes out because it will have a built in signal translator for it.

Yeah, I would like to go back if I could but it's not really an option with the BOV I have and my current setup.. I hope the new DSMLink supports it better..

Yeah I wish I would have known this before I bought the gm setup. I have the same issues and I'm just ditching it for a evo maf and running a wideband and hopefully the venting wont be so bad. I have a tial style bov which has a pretty heavy duty srping setup so I don't think it should be that big of a problem.

I don't know alot about the diffrent versions of MAFT, but I'm pretty sure everyone has to calibrate the GM maf by adjusting the airflow sliders in DSMlink.

some of the older versons of the MAFT had a bad baro clamp for the 2g's. You can read a little more about it here.

Your right and that's where the problem comes into play. I don't know if you own or have owned dsmlink but it's not as simple as just moving a couple sliders and your good to go you need to cross reference things and make then equal out.
