Yes you have the right fittings. I just put my system together. It went together great. All I could say is get extra hose and get an assortment of different angled fittings. I ended up playing with the hose routing a little and having the extra fittings allowed me to play with the layout.

Black TSI- how hard is it to work with that -10AN hose? I have some -6AN for my turbo and it was easy. I ran -8AN for my cooler and I had a hard time cutting it. How much extra oil capacity do you expect to gain with an external cooler. Assuming you dident have one before?

cheers

Mach v has an -8an to metric adapter just for this. It is $27 a pair. they are on their site with the oil filter brackets.

The 10AN line was easy to work with, but I have the tools to work with AN line. You dont really get much extra oil capacity with the cooler, there is a thermstat in the housing that opens when the oil gets hot and closes when it cools off, so you wont aways have oil flowing throw the cooler all the time

Yes but the cooler and lines will be filled with oil at all times even when the thermostate is closed. Expect to see about 1/2 to 1 qt. capacity increase when filling it for the first time after the housing swap.

Right after I installed my system I put 5 qts. in. And I was over the top mark on the dip stick. Hope it wont cause any problems. This however is on a replacment dipstick from dsmparts.com so its probally the wrong length...
Say you wanted to moniter oil temp, where would the best place to put the probe be? I have a couple of empty holes on my filter housing I could use. Is that the best place?
