ok so i start the car and all is good amp working grate i get to 1k rpm and amp shuts off come to a stop it back on im so lost on this one
i know it wired right and set up right and alt and bat are good (had them tested ) amp is good ( was in my truck ) so yea a amp that dose not like to move LOL
who would have thought a 200 car could get to u so much but I LOVE THE CAR

hook up a voltmeter/amp-meter and see whats going on before it shuts off.

does your car blow fuses?

The only thing that I can think of is that the regulator in the alternator is fried and you are over charging, but that would cause a lot more problems...

Also check your amplifier ground.

Is it only the amp cutting out? Does the other speakers still play? Amp normally cut out when they go over temp, sounds like a wiring prob to me. Test your "hot" terminal on your amp to a good body ground and the speaker/remote wires to ground and see what you get. Just because something "looks" right doesn't mean it is. I've ran into many hidden probs that were almost impossible to find.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere in between your battery and amp and it could be arcing out on any metal close to exposed wire.. If your wires are running under your carpet, good luck finding it.. And check your remote wire behind the deck and into the amp to make sure they are in there tight, good luck :rocks:

If it was overheating, the protect light would click on and the amp would not turn back on until you turn key off and on to let the amp reset
