Current bolt-on power mods:
Intake, bov, race radiator, plugs & wires

Earlier today, I went to www.convert-me.com to convert kg/cm2 into psi. I could not find kg/cm2, but they had kgf/cm2. Did a little research and they're suppose to be the same thing. Well, my boost gauge has a memory function, and the most boost I ran on my car was 1.3 kg/cm2. I can hit 1.3 consistently if I wanted to. In psi, that's 18.49. Am I overboosting? I know the stock 2gens run about 14-15 psi, but 18-19 with barely any power adders? Any experience you have with this would be much appreciated, and thanks in advance.:dsm:

Does it hold at 18 my t-25 used to jump up there then settle back down. Also the cold air will give you 1 maybe 2 more PSI. good lcuk .

Thanks for the quick reply. It wasn't too cold out today but wasn't warm, either. I'd hit 1.3 kg/cm2 when I'd downshift and punch the gas, like from 3rd gear into 2nd, or 4th into 3rd. And about it staying at around 17-18 psi, it stayed there until I let off the gas.

i would get a mbc and turn it down to 16-17psi. but thats just me
If he is making 18-19psi without a mbc then a mbc is not going to help it go down. A mbc opens at a preset pressure so that the boost can open the wastegate. If the wastegate is not opening untill 18psi (or boost is creeping that high) then a mbc will not help. With that list of mods I dont see anything that I think would make it creep that high(but who knows) I would check the waste gate for proper function. Just my .02 Good luck

Alright before you do anything drastic, check the gauge. How does the car feel underboost ? You will most likely be hitting fuel cut at 18psi. If you plan on getting a logger now woudl be a good time its great to have and you can see if that supposed 18lbs is even being bad to your car. but first many times a gauge can be off either swap it out for someone elses or just order a cheap autometer one to be sure. GoodLuck.

EDIT One more thing i rememberd the T-25 cant even hold 18 PSI I suspect faulty readings.

Good point if the reading is correct then the boost should be falling off at redline, at least a little. I agree go buy a cheap boost gauge and check the reading.

Pshh I shifted at 5500 on my T-25 because the thing was worthless after that. haha It could not even hold 16 PSI past 5500. GoodLuck with the fix man.

Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated. And you were right Eclipse420, my boost would just spike and then settle down... all the way down... hahah! My car really doesn't have a turbo... just a pretend one. T-25mall :notgood:

btw, my boost holds around 14-ish after the drop off, give or take. And my engine would have to be under alot of load... from launching and similar activities. Oh yeah, I have a brand new Greddy warning gauge... as much as it costs it better work! Correctly, too.
