So my friend recently got a leak in his aluminum Mishimoto radiator, and ordered a new one..

I happen to need an aluminum radiator also so he told me to take the leaking one and try to repair it. If it is fixable I can throw him $40 for it, if not he said just to scrap it and forget about it.

There is a very small slit on one of the tubes between the fins. I'm not sure what would be the best way of going about this. I do have another friend with a TIG welder who is really good at welding, but the aluminum on this radiator is really thin and I'm afraid trying to weld it will risk blowing the hole wide open, and making matters worse. I'm also thinking about JB weld, but I'm not sure how well that will hold up on something pressurized.

What should I do with this thing?
The picture is blown up to display the problematic area but is tiny.

straighten out the fins and tubes and depending on how good of a alum tig welder your friend is, Either have him tig it up or bring it to a specialist. I would fix that in a heart beat and run that all day. REMEMBER TO CLEAN AND USE PROPER TUNGSTON(GREEN) w correct gas and pressure and it will work great!
