My 420a 2g stock alternator is 90 amp. Will I b ok to get a 150amp high output alternator without frying wires or shorting things out my amp takes up 2 150 ampere kicker 1500.1

the stock is fine I ran two amps no issues.

The amperage rating of an alt is only the maximum output capability. Circuits only draw what current they need (so alt only puts out that much). Fuses protect wires from melting should shorts occur or you have too much load. Should you need more current than the fuse allows, you must use a larger wire with larger fuse (assuming the alt can supply it).

So when my 2 12in l7 subs hit the volt gauge goes from 14 volts to 12 volts and that's only s 800 rms amp n the amp I wanna run is 1500 rms at 2 ohm stable amp requires 1 gauge wire with 150amp fuse.n my amp is 650 CCA with stock wire to chassis n alternator n audio shops say to run big 3 upgrade n another battery
