Alternator swap=low oil pressure

I changed my alternator today 14.1 volts and now I have real low oil pressure on the L stock gauge. Could Ive disconnected something? Any help would be great

the connection from the oil pressure sending unit could be poor. The stock gauge isnt VERY useful anyways. Get an aftermarket one

Ok but should I be worried? Like my oil light didn't go off just low pressure. I drove it pretty hard for like 40 minutes... Motor still here so am I okay?

check and see it the wire got knocked off the sending unit. the sending unit could have gone out too. its pretty common

oil light = no oil

factory oil pressure gauge = junk

Yea that connector is probably covered in road grime and oil. Slide it off, clean it up and slide it back on. But it really isnt that useful. Just a bit more than the factory boost gauge

Wow all you guys hate that thing. I'm definitely gonna change it Friday but for the time being the sense of knowning there is pressure is all I want at the very least. The connector is connected to the gold bell looking thing? If not where is it's location

yeah. that would be correct.

the gold looking thing. . but it's true, the connector just slides over it.
