Like the title says I'm pretty sure that the water pump decided to go out. Anyways I was at work and this really hot chick that was a friend of a guy who I work with brought her car in and he broke off two of the studs on one wheel of her 3000gt. She needed to go to her dads house for a little while, she took my talon, I was supprised she could drive it with the ACT2600 clutch in it. She said that she'd repay me tonite
. She got half way back to the shop and called and said that the car was smoking and overheating. I figured that the oil dipstick poped off and freaked her out so I went and met her and when I got there she was sitting in a cop car talking to him. The cop said that I looked like it was spraying antifreeze out the front of the block. I tried to start it, it cranked really really slowely then fired for a few seconds and then died. I checked the radiatior and it was really low but I still had anitfreeze in the overflow bottle. The fluid that was in the system was almost new, had bout 4000 miles on it. I got a flat bed to tow it to my house.
I'm now 100% sure the water pump crapped out now after lifting the front off the ground and taking a look underneath. Now I'm trying to remove the alternator belt to do so you've got to loosen the tensionser on the alternator right? I'm trying that right now and the alternator isn't moving even though the bolt is are there any other bolts I've got to loosen or remove on the alternator to get it to loose.
