Ok so I just had my alternator replaced. As soon as I get home the belt is squeeling. I take a look and tugbon the belt and I see the alternator move. I know ota not supposed to do that. I look underneath and the pivot boot is gone. Upon looking atbthe alternator. I see that the pivot bolt hole in the alternator had some threads in it and they are stripped. I'm wondering if I even have the correct alternator at all. Can someone tell me if its supposed to have threads in the pivot hole or not and where can I find a new pivot bolt? Any other kind of bolt and nut combo I can use in th meantime?

There's no threads on the alternator or bracket themselves, it's a M8x1.25-118 bolt and nut. The bolt is square-head to lock in place against the mount. However, any similar size/length nut and bolt would work. Just make sure it has as short of threads as possible. A self-locking nut wouldn't be a bad idea either.
