Today I checked under my hood because I heard a loud squealing noise when I accelerated. I looked around near the belts and saw Belt dust caked onto the timing belt cover. It was a very fine dust that was defiantly from a belt. I checked all my belts and none of them show any signs of excessive wear. When I accelerate I also felt a hesitation in power almost a delay in throttle response. I brought my car home and shut it off, then I went to start it again and it wouldn’t start up. I heard a clicking noise like it was trying to turn over but it wouldn’t. Anyone have any hints to what this might be?

Thanks
- Dave

Clicking means your starter solenoid works, but either your starter doesn't work or it doesn't have enough electricity. If you're sure your battery has enough charge, then your starter is definetly fried.

Its the largest pulley on the bottom right side of your motor... mine poped out a few months ago... the only thing that hold it in is a rubber gasket.. there not real cheap to replace either i think the part was like 120$.. when mine went bad my car still ran though .... it sounds like a fuel problem to me though....

I actually think i found the problem. I tool a metal ruler from the Crank pull to the Water pump pully and its straight. Then u go down to the Alternator and the pully is not in line with the rest of them its in about 1/4". I brough it to a shop cause i though they could alligh the pullies but he seems to think that the blet i am using is too shallow off V groves so its causing my pullies to wear into the belt causing alot of dust. What types of blets do u guys use? I was using Deyco.

I would suggest trying the OEM belts, I was surprised to find out that the price difference isn't much at all.
