Does anyone know any types of bulbs that will be brighter or bluer or whiter than the stock bulbs? and will they fit into the stock fog lights? or should i just by aftermarket ones?because i have aftermarket headlights now and it just doesnt look as fly as it could if i head some different bulbs.

also if i dont need to get aftermarket fog lights, is there anywhere that sells the lins on the stock fog lights? one of mine is cracked.

thanks.

its just an H1 bulb isnt it?
Go to any car part store and ask for H1(or was it h3?) silver star bulbs.

Stock fogs are H3's, and yeah your best bet would be silverstars which are expensive IMO. Or you can do what I did and buy some cheap transformer case blue xenon bulbs off ebay which turned out ok for me.

You also have the option of putting HID conversion bulbs in there which would be really bright but would glare like a mother####er though.

Man if I was you and wanted that bluer color and still have good quality bulbs and visibility I would go with some PIAA GTX bulbs. You can fin them on ebay for 60-80 bucks and they are awesome and last forever

Ok, Our fog lights are H3 Bulb's... So ANYTHING that is a H3 will fit. As for brightness... There are a few. I had Silverstars on my 98, loved them... But compared to my new bulbs, the silverstars aren't crap! I'm currently running a Piaa Icy Hot 100W H3 Bulb. And I could pretty much drive with them. I recommend them over silverstars because of the light output.

This picture is WITHOUT the HID's on, so don't confuse the color change with the HID's... That is all Fog!

The area that lights up more on the ground is an amber color, which is best for fog and it reflects off of snow very well. The bulbs were given to me for aftermarket KC Light bulbs.

The Silverstars just put out a nicer white look, they are a tad brighter but nothing noticeable. I loved them when I had them. But I had nothing but silverstar then.

RWKustoms, HID conversion in our fogs WOULD NOT GLARE! At all! Well I mean not any more then they already do. Our fog lights are Projectors. They have the proper cut off. HID's in any kind of Projectors wouldn't glare, weather D2S or 9006. As long as that cutoff. The glare people bi*** and complain are located in Reflector housings (like mine) when people use D2S bulbs instead of the proper D2R bulbs which are made for Reflector Housings. I will be putting HID's inside my new aftermarket fogs once I get them. Fog lights are NOT supposed to be adjusted up towards cars or eyes of oncoming traffic. If you read on how to adjust them, it pretty much makes sure that the beam points completely level and straight from where the fogs are on the car... So if your fogs are 1ft exactly off the ground, 20-30+ft away the beam should only be 11-13" off the ground. If perfectly adjusted, they would be 12" off the ground. But its impossible to pull that off with how uneven the earth is.

infinitegsx - are those simply the piaa h3 bulbs in the stock mitsu projectors? If so, are you running stock fog wiring? Any hot/melting issues yet?

Also, chance we can snag a pic of the fogs ONLY against the wall?

Yes, I am running off of the stock harness, I just upgraded the bulbs to the Piaa H3 Icy Hot 100W bulbs.

As far as issues, I had a cheap wire pluging the fog lights into the brake lights, and that blew up.

But the stock wireing is fine. It hasn't been warm or anything.
