Altenator issues..

I changed the original altenator in Jan. 2011 then that went bad and was replaced again in Dec. 2011 / Jan 2012. Both of those altenators just flat out stopped out putting volts but now this current one is now overcharging... Is this just a string of bad altenators or can something else cause this?

I've changed it out both times but never took the radiator fan out which would probably make it much much easier to do.. any help is appreciated thanks.

Are you getting remanufactured ones from advance/auto zone? They're crap and don't last long, and often don't work right out of the box. I've had the same problem, I'm either going to just buy a new one (kinda steep at $325 tho) or look for a 90amp one from a spyder gs at the junkyard

Edit: taking the radiator fan out makes it a thousand times easier, you can just lift it right out

Thanks... yea I use to just always fight it out the bottom and fight it back up from the bottom (what a night mare...) but I never had issues with REMANS. The one I'm using is from cee kay brand USA. They don't even have another one for me and can't even order one since their last one was 12-21-11 (which was me) .

So gotta wait to talk to the manage to see how this is gonna work since I can't buy it somewhere else without the core and they can't give me a full refund without that altenator..

A guy was trying to find a match that would work but couldn't find one with matching amps or prongs for plug.
