hey guys,
I finally got around to pulling the lip out of storage [ stopped working on it 6 months ago ] and took some pics. I was also inspired by my recent curiosity of how to carbon fiber. so here will be the first big CF project I'm going to undertake.

this FG piece will be the MOLD in which i will work off of because, as you can see in the pictures, that it's not complete, nor very symmetrical yet.. but, it's a start.

sorry for the dark pics, i can't use my girlfriends digicam for my life.

Though I love carbon fiber, I think that style of lip would look better painted. Awesome work on it, I like it a lot!

Just my .02 :thumb:

very nice...i agree with painting it...that much of a CF area just wouldnt look right, and since you havent had any experience with CF it would probably be very easy to have it end up looking bad

Both would look nice, but i like the carbon fiber look more exotic looking..

Hard to tell in the dark but it looks like your design definately has potential.

I'd stick with paint.

PLEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEEEE get a better pic, I might be very very interested in buying one of these..but I can't see it well in those pics....get one of it in daylight or something... how much lower is it than stock??

Edited because not all the pics loaded the first time OMG

It looks cool, but I think I'll stick with an air dam that can be munched, then replaced for 5 dollars.

pics when ur finished def interested in seein how this comes out

Doesnt it look alot like the Kaminari front lip for the 95-96 styles? Could be just the pic but..?

Anyway its cool to see you making the lip! It would look better painted then CF I think...How would it blend in with CF?

looks good so far dude. While I was walking to work today (damn DSM) I was thinking about how a lip need to be made for 2Gb talons :thumb:

thanks for the opinions guys. my car is black so i figured the CF would blend in well, that's why I decided on it. other colors though, I wouldn't think it'd be so nice unless it was accompanied by a CF hood or something.

anyway, i'm starting to do small CF projects tomorrow so I can gear up for the actual lip :)

CF would look nice with the black car

however, you can't go wrong with painting it to match either!
