Looking for recommendations for a set of all season tires for my 92 AWD. Was looking at Yokohama Avid V4s and Kumho ASX in 225/50/r16. Anybody got any experience with these tires? Want a decent performance tire for the summer and not get killed in the IL winter!

I use Sumitomo HTR+ and they work great. Got them from Tire Rack shipped next day for about $275ish. They worked great for Michigan winters as well as spirited driving.

I've seen the ASX in action and I must say it's not a bad tire for the money. I have to replace the Dunlop SP5000s that are on my summer rims and I was thinking about those. The tread pattern looks good and it was one of the few that you could get a warranty on a 50 series tire.

I've got Avid V4's on my Crown Victoria, I like them a lot. They're quiet, I can lane-change/corner fast (for a 4000 lb boat), and, I can still get around pretty good in the winter. (considering it's RWD and open rear-diff).

I love Yokohama's :D

I have been using Kuhmo ASX 205/55/16 for about a year and have no complaints. Good in summer and winter. Much better than the all-season Continentals I had on before.

I got some New Michelin Hydro-edge tires on my 90 awd and they are a dream. They have a 85,000 mile warranty (yes 85,000), and they are awesome in the snow and rain. I guess they are some new style tire that doesn't have steel belts. They did cost me a fortune, but I got a about $60 off when I told the guy that I wanted michelins but didn't want to pay a lot for them. He was like "ok let me see what I can do" . Its worth a try! I can't say enough good things about them, and chances are, I will never have to buy tires for my eclipse ever again.
Only bad thing is that my tires are worth more than my car.......

i bought the Avids for my gsx.... had em on for about 4 weeks now, they work great :) and no more screech if i take a turn to fast :)

rain - work good
snow- none yet to test ;)
