As I get closer to painting the trim I came up with an idea that in my head sounds nice. But I am afraid it will look tacky or rice-ish the bottom trim in a deep red and only the vent flap openings in red and the rest of the trim in the middle black. Any thoughts?

IMO any plastic pieces on a car should remain the same color as the car. You could just do the calipers red if you want some red however it is your car, do what you like. Who sprayed it?

I agree all black the red trim would look out of place! Looks very good. I might spray my fenders and new bumper along with trim pieces myself & can only hope it comes out this good.

If u were to do accent coloring, deep orange would be more catchy than red and look less "ricey".

If not that, all deep black just like she is now

yeah the all black looks good. if your local laws allow you to get away with dark tint it'd look even better tho
