Ok this is on a stock suspension with tokico illuminas installed. I have been having a problem but can’t seem to trace it down. It’s a rattle/clunk when I go over bumps at slow to moderate speeds. I checked all the ball joints and couldn’t find any play in them and I can’t reproduce the sound when it’s up in the air or when I had the suspension torn apart. Anybody have any idea what could cause the camber issue and the noise? I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

Check all of the swaybar brackets and make sure that all of the upper shock bushings are intact.

ps. your alignment is typical for daily-drivers that autocross: near-max toe-out in the front and moderate toe-in in the rear; it's not the best for treadwear and definitely not right for drag-racing, but it's the best compromise for daily driving and handling; the only change I'd make is flip the driver's side compression-arm bushing and try to level the car, since you seem to have the typical listing to the left

all the sway bar brackets look good, and the bushings are all still there and good. AMS once told me that i had a wheel bearing that was starting to go south on that side but i thought that it would just howl the worse it got. could the wheel bearing be causing the rattle/clunk? because i really didnt feel any play when i shook it when it was in the air.

was wondering what listing is? sorry just the first time i have heard that term used here. are you talking about tracking/drifting to one side? also do you have a link to the doc that explains the flip of the drivers side compression-arm bushing? thanks for all the help.

Yes, for goodness sake, check the wheel-bearing. Sometimes they scream and howl before letting go; sometimes your first warning is when the wheel falls off.

Jtoby is right check that wheel bearing again. This can cause camber issues as well. Usually a clunk has nothing to do with an alignment. A clunk over bumps is normally caused by sway bar links, bad struts, bad upper strut bushings and really bad ball joints. As for the listing it is a lean to one side. Hit him up again for info on the bushing flip. Travis

What I was saying is that it doesn't howl. And I have checked it multiple times and I can't feel any play. How else would I be able to tell? also do you have the link/info for the bushing flip? thanks for all the help.

I have already replaced the strut twice, both links were replaced with new oem links, the strut bushings looked fine (and were intact), I cant feel/see any play in the ball joints. What else should I look at? Thanks for all the help.

How about your motor mounts? I know my car makes a little noise and guess what, my front motor mount is split really bad.

All ready replaced the whole trans motor mount and put inserts in the front one to stiffen it up and help with wheel hop. spent a good amount of cash trying to figure this out. Thanks for all the help. i really appreciate it. i should also say that right after the new tokico illuminas shocks went on the noise appeared immediately.
