Im in the process of trying to get better airflow from the small 16g. I thought that just changing to the FP manifold and a ported 2g o2 housing would do the trick. I've been reseaching on the site and now I know Im going to have to invest some more money because of airflow restrictions. The turbine housing is going to need to be ported to line up with the manifold so theres no restricion there, and on the outlet side of the turbine housing(is this call hotside?), does that need to be ported too since my 02 is ported? If im leaving out other restrictions let me know.

Have you ported the exhaust side of the turbo? I think the FP exhaust has a 7cm hole and the the small 16g has a 6cm (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I had to portout my evo3 to match the FP manifold. I also had to buy a 7cm gasket because my factory one was too small. This should improve your exhaust flow.

I havent ported yet, but I know that has to be ported. I was trying to figure out what else I need ported and get it all done at once. Is there a vendor that sells ported turbine housings? Trying not to have down time sending mine off

Not sure if any of the vendors do but I have seen them on the classifieds from time to time. If you can post up on the want to buy section. I'm sure someone has one laying around their garage their willing to sell.
