I'm not sure how closely everyone watches their air volume, but with each mod I have noticed my air volume increase one unit per mod running the same boost (15 lbs).

Using pocketlogger - with just an exhaust my air volume was 4, then w/ intake it went to 5, and w/ frontmount it went to 6. That was w/ stock fuel, 14b, and 1g MAF. Well, I got fuel mods and run more boost 18-20 psi in short bursts (1st and 2nd gear) and air volume was hitting 7. It felt great.

That was w/ new MAFT setup, FPR, supra pump, stock injectors. Then my turbo died. I got two used turbos in relatively good shape. Put in 680cc injectors, tried one turbo, and had to work out some bugs. I pressure tested my I/C plumbing. I had more intercooler plumbing leaks w/ the old turbo on that I was unaware of. Fixed the leaks. Air volume only hits 5 at most and holds 4 steady at 15-18psi now . No knock. No exhaust leaks.

The car doesn't pull as hard, and seems like boost takes longer although it is spooling up completely a little after 3 grand, same as before. I have been dialing in fuel trims - high is at 106 - mid is at 115 - low is at 139 (help gas mileage). The MAFT is dialed in for 680cc injectors (got them from dejon tool) idle is on 2. EGT's are fine, base fuel pressure on aeromotive set at 38psi. Timing between 22 and 30 when I'm on it.

What's the deal here? Two different turbos acting identical, but not like car did before. The old turbo just kinda died gradually. My car doesn't smoke or burn oil. Maybe I need to compression test it and make sure nothing is hurt. A couple months ago compression was 136 on all 4. My best run on stock fuel was 13.3@103 and I ran that 5 times. Car runs/idles fine now.

Any ideas or suggestions? Help appreciated.

If you use the MAFT or simular device to tune for larger injectors the reported air volume will go down
