will a air/fuel ratio Gage work on a 1g tsi dsm and if so do I need to really have one. I already have a boost gage and wanted another gage for my dual pod pillar, what would be the second most important gage to have?:thumb:

Yes an a/f gauge will work, but don't start that arugment again. I'll just say that an oil pressure gauge or water temp gauge would be more useful.

Just get a wideband. . . Unless you want pretty christmas lights in your car then get an a/f gauge.

There's a good analogy to compare narrowband a/f and wideband.

Narrowband is like driving down the highway and your hood flies up but doesn't fall off. You can still see extreme's left and right but nothing in the center. So all you can do is pull left until you see the gourd rail and right till you see the shoulder. Wideband is like either having the hood fly off and hit the car behind you so you can still see, Or you were the smart one who put hood pins in your new CF evo style madd tyte hood.

In summary, narrowband is a joke.

I wouldn't call it a joke, it's simply the wrong sensor for what you want to do. If you want a more useful gauge, get an oil pressure gauge.

Good analogy, though.

Anyone use egt gauges anymore?! I have an autometer one and like it, but I'm gonna buy an oil pressure gauge and a water temp gauge soon. Some people say tons of gauges are pointless but I just like having that extra security of knowing everything thats going on with your engine. :thumb:
