So i just bought an autometer ultralite air/fuel gauge and i hooked it up to the front 02 sensor and i know i did that part right, yes people have told me that its useless untill you are at WOT but even then its pegged at rich.

i rev up in neutral and it has two reds flashing in the lean part and one pegged on green. and when im on it WOT its still pegged at rich with the two reds on lean, WTF is up with this?

I dont know if this has anyhting to do with it but when i took my 02 sensor off i cut the wires and then crimped them back together and i wasnt 100% sure that i put the two blacks on right. would that make a diff or does it matter which black goes to what? thanks guys.

You can't just crimp O2 sensor wires together, the signal is way too sensitive. You need to wire it correctly.

right on ill do that as soon as i get some time, i didnt know it was that sensitive, thanks guys. would the rear 02 sensor work justa s well as the front for a reading on the gauge?
