Maybe someone had this problem and got it fix, I really hate electrical problems. I've looks all over Google and all over this site. I've check the electrical manual and its no help, well I cant understand it to well.

My AC stopped working. I already checked the blower and its good, all the fuses and relays are good. There is no power coming to the AC switch in the dash. Its getting ground but no power. There is also no power going to the Freon canister near the power steering pump. Is there a hidden fuse somewhere or something? I also have no power to the defogger, I'm starting to wonder if the two are connected somehow. I'm about to pull the whole dash and I really don't want to do that. Something is fried somewhere and I can't find it. Tested everything! My last resort is to just burn the car!

No, I never checked to see if I have but I did try to bypass that freon switch to test the system but it did nothing. How do I test it? Just push something in the valve? I will check it out today. I was wondering g why both not working and figured they connected some how. Thanks I will try and let you know.:thumb:

You need a set of gauges. If the pressures get lower than they are supposed to be, it will disable the system to protect itself. If your pressures are correct, then you either have a bad fuse or a broken wire.

Ohhh. Well I couldn't reach the cold side so I did the hot. Its completely empty. I push the valve in and I heard just a little weak blow of air but its completely empty. Unless I have to do it from the cold side?

Took the car to a ac shop. It has freon. So it must be a wire. All relays and fuse are good.

A common problem on 2g's is the thermistor that is attached to the evaporator core to prevent it from freezing up. If it goes bad it will not supply any power at all. If the shop says it has a full charge than that is the first step. Next open and remove the glove box. Once it is out there is a little 3 wire black connector plugged into the HVAC box, unplug it and jump the 2 power wires. I forget which ones they are but it doesn't involve the black one as that is ground. This should supply power to the compressor now. If the a/c and defrost don't work this is a pretty good sign that sensor is bad.

Ok I remember seeing that and also the tiny thing they call the ac ecu or whatever. The thing you talking about, I pulled out the whole unit and it looks like a big white block, looks kinda corroded. I will jump it and see. Will also buy a new one just because its cheap and don't like how it looks.

So I tested these before jumping. The small one has 3 wires, black for ground and two others. The ground is good. The other wire has 4 but not getting any ground or power. All lines are dead, no ground nor power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is just the resistor pack for the blower motor. The thing you are looking for should have a temperature probe coming off of it that sticks into the evaporator.

Ok, I shall check the manual to see where that is located. There are two yellow wires going inside the black box but it has some type of glue. I cant pull it out. Those yellow wires are attached to a small box with a plug that has three wires. Its the one on the left.

The other plug in the picture you added is the plug you need to jump. The part cannot be removed unless you remove the whole evaporator core.

I've tested the one with the 4 wires, its dead. No power or ohmz. Doesn't make sense jumping it. The small one with the 3 smaller wires, I jumped the two colored ones and nothing happened. My best guess is, the problem is elsewhere but I cant trace the wires behind the dash. The manual is also no help, it has limited content and no wire color codes, just a bunch one lines and numbers and letters. I would take this to a professional, but I live on an island and there is no Mitsubishi specialist here.

What you mean empty? It has freon. When I checked it I did the hot side not the cold. I thought it didn't matter but I was told to check the cold not hot.

Well yeah, I didn't know what I was doing but I took it to a AC shop. Its fully charged. I did mention this in the other post after that. The AC shop checked it and they said it has freon, so its not empty.

Ok guys I have an update. There are three wires going to the compressor. One is ground and the others I have no idea. Lol But I jump the two of them anyways because I figured it should be the switch. After jumping them, I put the car in on position and the ac fan started spinning and I was a bit happy but after starting the car I got back sad. The fan spins but no lights for the ac is on or air flowing. The car also started idling odd, like it was straining. Also started burning rich...

Lol yeap, my car got some type of odd infection. My next move is to pull my dash but I'm still searching online. Its not even like I did any work on the car to say I messed up something. Damn thing just stop working and I can't find the reason.

So I have no idea if I found the problem or I just happened to touch a wire but my AC is working again. I took out my dash, that sucker was a headache to remove. I believe it was my fuse box. I took it completely apart and cleaned all the connections. Found some corrosion. Now I know what a eclipse fuse box looks like on the inside. Its like a maze in there.. Now I just need to get it to be ice cold. :D
