While swapping in my new pro-kit today, i compressed my front spring on the strut, and proceeded to remove the top nut, now, the piece with the numbers on it for adjustability...fell out. How does this piece go back on?? I've only done this to one side for now, before i mess things up for both of them. I was hoping the piece would stay on the strut and the nut come off around it..but guess not.

hmm, i used an impact, but i didn't see any point of breaking. There were two little pieces that have tiny teeth on them, they're fine and together, but how does the part with the numbers(attached to the part with the other half of the teeth), go onto the strut, thats my problem. Thanks for the reply.

I know what you mean & I'm having trouble picturing it right know. I think if you look into the strut rod you'll notice there's a flat or different shape on one side. Also, since the other struts intack you can use it for reference.

I'll take a picture tomorrow morning. Well, the other strut is going to be cut off tomorrow, due to two of the nuts on the strut tower stripping, so that will be a project in its own. Just wondering, if you bolt the strut to the car, and un due the top bolt, couldn't you just slide everything out from the bottom, sure the spring will force the hub down, but would it work?

Looked at the other strut, how i put the first one back together looks just like the original one, so i think i'm good. Thank you for the help!
