AFC Problem!!!

Just started tuning the new S-AFC 2 today. Everything went well until I shut the car off, everything reset. I'm not sure if it needs constant power, I though everything was backed up via internal battery. I checked and double checked the wiring and can't figure this out, any help is helpful.

Under the main menu select;
#3 etc.
#9 Initialize
... make sure "No" is highlighted.
If that doesn't work...

Yes, on the afc 2's there is an internal battery to save your settings.
