Ok, so I want to un-install my Neo because I am getting DSMlink. So i started pulling some panels today to find out how the previous owner ran Neo. When I pulled the passenger side panel I found two connectors coming from Neo and going to the ECU. So, i figured I would do a test. I unplugged both connectors and the car ran like crap, idle up and down etc. When I unplugged one or the other it still ran like crap.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I need to unhook Neo and sell it so I can buy DSMlink. How do I go about unhooking Neo?
I posted some pics to show whats going on in my car. Oh, and i dont have a Eprom :(.

HELP!!!:confused::confused::confused:
Guide:
Yellow dots Coming from Connectors going to ECU
Orange dots: Coming from Neo going to Connectors
Blue Arrows: Connectors
The purple Splices are coming from Neo into my ECU.

Let me know if you need more/ different pictures. Thanks!

If the Neo installs the same as the SAFC, then you need to disconnect everything at the ECU. You'll have the main harness leaving the Neo (pictured with the orange dots) connected to the harness that gets tapped into the ECU (Pictured in yellow).

You'll need to remove all the wires attached to the ECU's harness, which are at the end of the cable with the yellow dots. All of them should be a straight splice, except for two. They intercept the MAS frequency before it hits the ECU. You'll need to pull both of them and then reconnect the MAS wire so it runs straight from the vehicle harness to the ECU.

When you unplugged the harness, the ECU was no longer receiving the airflow signal from the MAS, which caused your problems.

Wow, thanks for the fast response. Do you have any pictures of the two wires before the mas hits the ECU?

Should i pull the whole ECU out or just unplug the connectors from the ECU and then un-splice them?

Unplug the ECU without removing entire ECU. The pink and the orange AFC wires are the MASS wires so you will need to cut these and reconnect the factory wires that these two wires were conncted to. I recomend soldering the connections back together, to prevent any problems in future.

of coarse its gonna run like crap...you are taking its tune away and making the ecu run on its stock map...that wasnt a n00b question or anything...just unplug it/ sell it/ get your dsmlink and get it tuned...no probs...just dont expect to run your car with out it being tuned...duh

i have the same problem. i disconnect all the wire from the safc neo to the ecu..i mean i cut it and took the neo out....went home and runs like crap..wouldn't go high rpm. got home and my engine was smoking hot...didn't know why. then i went and look at ecu, and i found out that the two wires(mas karmman frequency) not sure what the color was but had the male and female on the end of the wire and i was suppose to reconnect those two after taking the neo out...those two wire was connected to the neo not splice.so if i cut it off then i have to reconnect those two wire together in order to read mas sensor..after i reconnect those two it ran like normal.....all the wire were splice but the karmman wire was cut in half then connect two wire running from the neo..reconnect this wire together and i think you should be set to go...
i had this same problem and just want to throw it out the for the op for more info...not sure what the color was but it's the karmman wire the suppossibly cut and connect to two wire on the neo...sorry if it wasn't clear...
