I am deciding not to get dsmlink because its out of my price range, so I'm thinkin about a keydiver stage 3....and I already have a afc. Does anyone have this combo? Do you recommend it? I looked at everyones 1/4 mile times and mostly everyone has the link. I'm not lookin to benchrace but could this combo get me in the 12's safely?

I have heard great things about the chips, but you still have to buy an eprom ecu, If it were me and I had that kind of money I would just save the little bit of extra it will take and get the link. However If your not really into tuning that much and or you don't switch from race gas to pump gas that often then the chip is a great choice. I would def. say you could get into the 12's with that combo.

I ran a 12.98 at 109 Saturday on a stage 3 keydriver and a Safc II. The car has a lot more in it. I did it with the mods in my profile. I wasn't using the stutter box or the no lift to shift option either. If you are looking from going from pump to race gas very often then you might want to look into the Dual image chips. You have to make a simple mod to the ecu and install a toggle switch but it gives you to different maps one for pump gas and one for race gas.

Yea I know I still have to get a eprom ecu. But 400 bucks will get me the ecu and the stage 3 chip whereas dsmlink alone is 550, so it sounds like a good deal.

I bought my eprom ecu form dsm chips also. It costed me $375 shipped for everything. The ecu already came socketed and with the stage 3 chip already installed. He also sent me the factory chip along with the ecu.

Sounds good! Did you have your factory boost gauge converted to a knock gauge? There are many features for the price.

I am about to do this same combo. If you email Jeff O. and talk to him about what you want and you tell him what you have he will tell you what would work best for you and what would needed to be done otherwise. He's really good to deal with. Ive heard from many people that this is a good comb as long as you arn't switching gas or whatever. They say the chipped erpom will take care of alot and all that is required is a little bit of tuning with the afc. Not to mention it sounds to be a lot easier than dsmlink.

The options I ordered are as follows.

7800/6000 selectable rev limiter
4500/4750/5000/5250/5500 stutter box
Resets to 4500 on cold boot-up
No fuel cut
Octane reset
2x Karman
Knocksum gauge ( Factory boost gauge mod)
Enhanced closed- loop maps
750cc Injectors/ 288uS deadtime
Sock 2g mas
750 R
pPm idle
30% expanded maps
No airflow cap

37 psi fpr
11:1 wot A/F ratio
93 octane timing maps for 8.5:1 pistons with 17 degrees timing advance on top map.

Hope this helps.

Yea I visited thier website. My options are gonna be pretty similar to yours.....except i got 650's.

I would recommend getting a wideband to go along with the chip. IF not I hope you at least have a way to log.
