I'm about ready to order an Aeromotive afpr, but I'm wondering what most people (that already have them) did for their return lines? Did you get a barb fitting and use your stock return line, or did you use some ss line with fittings? If you used ss line what kind of fitting did you use to attach it to the hard line? And if you ran a barb fitting what size worked the best? Also, yes I know they make kits but I'm piecing one together for cheaper with what I want.

You should be able to use a standard, or AN cover type hose clamp, on a SS line to connect to your return tubing. I use this technique several places on my car. If you really want to go further with it you can look for the tubing to AN, connectors. I've seen them, but not sure I've seen them in metric tubing sizes. If you'd like to investigate it further, try this site http://www.batinc.net. They have the largest assortment of metric fittings and adapters that I've seen.

How well does the -6 ss line fit over the stock hard fuel line?

The line will not fit over the hard line at all. It will not seal correctly no matter how tight you clamp it.

What he said. Maybe the 2G return line is smaller than the 1G, but a -6AN will seal with a hose clamp on a 1G.

I'm curious to know if you have personally attempted a -6 AN SS line to the hard line return on a 2G. If so what exactly was your experience with it? Your saying that the SS line ID was to small, to large?

-6 AN line fits just fine. You literally take the line, put it over the return line and clamp it. Not 1 leak. Anybody that says it isn't possible obviously has not tried this yet. Type in Aeromotive in the search and you will find the same answer.

Thanks cfisher that helps. Another question I just thought of is, has anybody mounted the afpr with just fittings hanging off of the end of the fuel rail? I mean using no ss line?

Check out DSMJIM's setup. He went a different route but works just as good and probably saved him about $200.

Full Throttle AFPR is probably the best actual bolt on AFPR at the best price that you can get. I went w/Aeromotive because I think it looks better and I wanted to upgrade my lines from the tank anyway but I've heard good things about the full throttle.
