Ok so I got my boost controller all routed and wired. The instructions arent as detailed on this part. I connected the power/ground wire one way (my best guess based on the diagram...which was Power being the left and ground being the right if the wires were facing your right).

I turn my car on and I get the Er5 code. I look at the manual and it states that either its not getting any power or its shorted. So I swap the wires....same thing.

Can anybody get me a definitive answer here?

Thanks!

Its been awhile since I installed it but isnt it just a power and a ground coming from the gauge and 2 brown wires coming off the solenoid? I dont think it matters which one is hooked up for the brown wires...where is your power and ground wires hooked up, maybe you do not have a good 12v source or bad ground.

Hmmm...would the gauge even light up if I had a bad ground? It must be the power cable then...

I'll check it out tomorrow. I spliced it into my Cigarrette lighter...I'll try to resplice it tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion :D

Ok so I switched the power wire to the solenoid to the same 12v source I have for my Gauge. I'm still getting the same thing.

Can it seriously be the ground? I mean I thought if it were a bad ground, the gauge wouldnt light up either. Whats AEM's replacement policy? The gauge looks pretty...it would be a shame for it not to work.

Mine didnt throw the ER5 code but it did lock up and got stuck at a certain vac. number and wouldnt budge...I made a thread on it. Called the guys at AEM and they replaced it free of charge, didnt ask for a receipt or any proof of purchase even.
