the little rubber vent was rubbing up against it, thats nothing to be freaked out about

WTF this is why i never usually refer to dsm tuners for information, thats rubber stuck to the clutch its nothing serious like paint chipped

Hey he was just trying to help, he was just asking "if" it was metal that has been removed, not saying it was. Obviously you can't tell that well from a picture and if you had described this in your origional post or gave a better description of what you thought the problem was maybe you'd get better help .

Why even ask then. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

DSMtuners is a great source for usefull information. Sometimes you need to search a little longer to find it but that is the same with any national board. There are a lot of very knowledgable people on here, and a lot of dinks like you too.

EDIT: Back to your question though. How far off the floor does the clutch engage? Is the system bled of all air?

WTF i stated in my 2nd post it was the rubber vent but than proceed to ask me the same question again. I have gotten some information off here that has been useful but i must say most the time its stupid responses like "search the board"

Pedal grabs are bottom of floor i got new fork in and it seems pretty dead center so ill see what happens

So know you dont have the problem since the new fork? If the clutch grabs right at the floor it probably isnt fully disengaging and would cause a grind. Adjust the rod up by the master under the dash.

Everything looks fine. Obviously you will want to move that rubber boot :) Do you have the fork ball shimmed? Don't do the extended rod b.s. whatever you do. I would check for things like master leaking, slave leaking, shim the pivot ball, and do a ss line if you don't have one. I had my trans out like 3 or 4 times last year and many visits to tre to talk to Jon and now my car shifts like a civic.

Alright well more then likely its grinding because the PP is fully disengauging the disk. Did you adjust the clutch pedal after the install? Even though its a hydraulic system it still needs to be adjusted. Just to on the safe side do the standard check master & slave for leaks, check to make sure it was bleed properly, replace the fork and pivot ball when your in there & once thats all done & good adjust the clutch pedal so it engauges about a 1/3rd of the way up. See how to adjust it here about 3/4's the way down, also has other useful clutch/flywheel info. One other thing I forgot to mention, did you have the flywheel machined & if so did they step it corectly?
