Anyone know anything about these? http://www.coximport.com/act/ This page shows the clamping pressures. http://www.coximport.com/act/mitsubishi.html#Galant My 2600 pressure plate forks tweeked after 800 miles of easy use and I'm searching for something more reliable. That fork had double the space surrounding it as the others, and I think it slid over and got jacked into place. The XTREME PPs forks are one piece so that solves that problem but I'm not sure I like the idea of bending the forks at every shift. It's rated at 58% stiffer than stock with the street disk so I hope the pedal feels like a 2600 which claims 57%.

OK, now i'm confused. Here is ACTs page. http://www.advancedclutch.com/plates.asp They don't call them 2100, 2600,2900, and it shows the one piece finger PP as the heavy duty original, and the one that looks like my 2600 is called the XTREME. WTF?

There are different ACT terminologies. ACT technically doesnt sell a 2100 and 2600 clutch. They sell a street disk and pressure plate kit (2100), a street disk with Xtreme pressure plate (2600), an Xtreme disk and Xtreme pressure plate (2900), and a full race disk and pressure plate (3100). 58% stiffer sounds around the Xtreme plate (2600) stiffness.

Yeah it looks like CoxImports put up the wrong pictures. I was hoping it was newer more reliable version of the 2600. I just read that some of the 2600s now being shipped have rubber bushings in place of all springs. So they must be searching for a cure. Why did ACT think they had to come out with a "New Coke" and screw up a good product? Cheaper metal probably. Oh well, I'm done with them.

I edited that post a few times and screwed it up, he said four plugs.

A quote from GalantVR4.org.

"we ran 10's on a 2600 and a street disk
i saw a few act street disks come in last month with 4 rubber plugs instead of springs. i wonder if they are playing with their design or something."

That sounds like the Daikin (OEM) setup to me.
