Hey guys so i think my throw out bearing went bad but that just seems really unlikely to me seeing as i just replaced it 4000 miles ago. Driving my car today and the clutch wouldnt disengage then i pumped it and it worked then started acting goofy again and the pedal stuck to the floor now when i push in the clutch it kills the engine but if i get it movin and in gear everything is fine. had to rev shift to get it home but wanna know what you guys think before tearing into it. it has been squeeling for the last couple days before it finally went out today. also when i stopped after it started freaking out there was smoke coming out of those vents on the tranny. didnt smell like clutch though it smelt like arc welding

Well first i check everything else before you tear it down, i put a oem tob on my car. With my act2100. 7000 miles and not a problem with it.

yeah slave goes in and out fine. the fork looks like it is a little far to the left when looking down on it though. ive read about shimming the fork but i wouldnt figure id need to do that until i went with some monster twin disc or something. could the fork be bent? just wondering all the possibilities. If i'm going to drop the tranny i might as well put my new one in. i was just waiting for my new engine too.

well next time when you do some work on your car, use a search button to get some info on a parts.. ;) ACT TOB is trash,it was ,it is and it prob will.... shimming the pivot ball is just a temporary fix..... replace the fork, oem tob, bleed the clutch really good, and no problems in a future ;),ive been done that a lot of times and learned a lesson ;)

Before i put my clutch i read that the act tob was trash, so i took no chances with my rebuilt tranny and clutch, so along with my act flywheel, a clutch kit, but i replaced the tob with one from the dealer.
