Laval,
I do a lot of search since couple days.

I'm planing do buy an other disc for my 2G awd. I always use a OEM street disc with ACT 2100PP. My last disc was a ACT street disc (the old one), on my new ACT 2600pp after 5000mi, the springs loose and broke. This was on my old 344whp 1g FWD.

This summer I swap the 6bolt in my 2G, and expect to reach 400WHP. I have the 2600PP and need to buy a disc. Wooch one you think is the best for me, don't forgot, it's my daily drive car and race couple days a month only.

thx

For a daily driver I would recommend the street disc. I have the 2600 with street disc. It grabs hard and smooth but I can slip it in city traffic when I need to. It will also be easier on your driveline.

you have the "new" disc or the old one? Because I heard and see bad thing about the old street disc, and mine broke after 5000mi.

I'm not sure. I bought if from RRE in July 2006. The part # was 3000303, same as in the 2nd link you gave. But I don't know if that is reliable for determining new vs old style disc as they might be using the same number.

Let me give you my view on the disk vs puck since I have used both on my Talon. I have a ACT 2100pp and it lasted one race season, via slipping the clutch on launch. I wanted the holding capacity of a 2600, but did not want the pedal pressure of one because of the high traffic in my area (2600pp would not have been a problem in this situation, but I broke my ankle a few years ago and it gets aggravated with that kind of pedal pressure) I called ACT and explained my situation and they instructed me to use the 2100pp with a puck disk. I choice a 6 over the four for streetablity as there are a lot of DSMs in my area with various clutch configs that did not mind me taking their car for a spin around the block. It took a while to get use to the 6 puck, but after a few days I was good to go. Now for the bad. The ACT puck disk are not springed so you will get a bit of clutch chatter, but you can get use to that. The material that is used on the puck is ceramic and is not very forgiving when you make mistakes as now you clutch is pretty much a on off deal and took me awhile to get use to launching again. Also because it is ceramic it will tear up your flywheel and because the puck is not very easy to slip you weak spot now becomes your drivetrain parts instead of just the clutch and flywheel. I am in the process of rebuilding my tranny as I type because of a mistake I made. If I had a disk it would have slipped and I would have been safe but the puck didn't and I ended up breaking gears in the trans. 2 steps and pucks do not play very well while attempting to set you proper lanuch RPM. Again, I am not putting the blame on the puck, as when I drove right I could feel I was putting much more power to ground. Just be aware if you go with a puck you need to be more careful and precise with your shifts as it will not be forgiving. Sorry for the long message but I ran across this while I was taking a break from reassembling my trans and had to respond.
