Acc. Belt Problem

Hey everyone. I have a 95 Eagle Talon ESi with a 230hp 420a. The problem is the acc. belts i put on keep blowing off or apart every couple of days. The Pulleys are in perfect alighnment and the belts are the correct ones. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

two things to try.......adjust the tension tighter....(probably already did that)....2nd see if you can get another belt to try. I have heard that the belt that comes with the AFX under drive pulley has a history of falling off....a simple fix is to try another belt......I had to snap 2 belts before the third one decided it wanted to stay on.

If you still using the stock harmonic balancer check to see if the rubber hasnt worn out...

Now by 230hp I hope you meant 130hp .

Ya cause i heard the highest whp esi with a 420a naturaly asperated was running 160whp at most.

i keep having the same problem but i dont have a up. it usually only happens when i have a knee jerk lift moment. you know i accelerate hard and then get off the throotle completely real quick. could this still be the reult of a faulty harmonic balancer? how can you tell if its bad grab it and shake it
