First off i want to start out that my car has had really low voltage readings of around 11.3 or so at idle from what i can read from my electronic boost controller... While doing a turbo swap i forgot to remove the battery cables (dumb me) and grounded the alternator.... I ended up getting a new one and put everything back together thinking it would fix my low voltage readings from before.... But no it still reads around 11ish and now my ABS light comes on every time i hit the brakes and kind of makes a grinding feel in the brakes for a second then stops.. ( I have a new alternator and i have a year old red top optima battery) I haven't checked the fuses since i grounded out the alternator.. Would that cause the ABS to freak out like it is??? And what would cause my car to have such low voltage readings with a new alternator and pretty new battery??

Any help is MUCH appreciated thanks alot

Are you getting 11.3v directly from the battery?

Also, did you only get a new alternator or a battery too?

I am getting the reading from my electronic boost controller, not from the battery.. And i just got a new alternator, and i bought the red top optima battery about a year ago

Oh, well, if you have a multimeter I'd check the voltage directly from the battery.

Well i went and tested it with my multi meter and it read a little above 10volts and the next voltage reading on my multimeter was 16volts. so I think its good.. i don't know what would cause this...

So it read 10 then 16? Those are both bad readings. I personally say no less than 12.5 and no greater than 13.5.
