Hello!

Im about to buy a talon 1993 2.0 non turbo that need a water pump and have a leak in the pipe for the transmission cooling.

need some some body work too.

any advide about what to look befor buying.

is it a good idea to buy this its 500$ canadian.

and i dont have a lots of money tu put on it.

Well for starters, have the compression checked out because bad compression will cost you a lot of money. I would recommend that on any DSM you would be interested in. Not to mention that replacing the water pump alone could be expensive, on my 97 GSX it was about $400. I'm unsure of the pricing for 1G non-turbos but I'm sure it's in that neighborhood. My next question is are you wanting this as a project car or just keep it stock?

If you're looking for a project car then I would find a turbo DSM. If you don't have a lot of money to spend it would be cheaper to pay a little more for a turbo car and less for parts, than to pay less for a non-turbo car and a lot more on parts.

If you want it kept stock then I would say that $500 is a pretty good deal overlooking the problems. Depending on how cheap you can get the labor done, you could get away paying less than $1K for the car and repairs. But like I said, it depends on the extent of the body work needed and how cheap the other problems can be fixed.
