I am installing the Hella H4 lights w/80w low and 100w high. Will this be too much current on the stock wiring? Will i have to run relays? Please let me know....thanks.... :talon:

Are they TRUE 80w bulbs? You may have problems if they are. I had a headlight bulb die on me so I grabbed some true 100w bulbs at Advance Auto for $5, the aftermath = completely melted headlight harnesses, even melted some of the way up the stock harness. After a friend of mine painstakingly re-wired them for me last night, one of the headlights still didn't work, but the high-beam does so I hooked the high-beam wires to the low-beam bulb and having to run them that way for now. I don't know how you can prevent this but I will tell you that the stock wiring cannot handle that much current.

If you goto Autozone,PepBoys,Checker stores ect.-

They sell a H4 headlight conversion kit-$29 comes with new harness relays plugs, etc.
*no bulbs,or headlamps

just a thought ;)
