upon the advice of many of the members of this forum i have decided not to vent my bov while running my stock mas, however i do have a question about dsmlink.com, i was looking at their website about dsmlink v3 and its ability to use a gm maf without a maft, with just a simple cable that connects to the factory mas connector, it comes with a base tune to run with the gm maf, but it said its not unusual to have to adjust it 30-40% for it to work correctly when its placed in the uicp in the blow thru setup, i was just wondering what they mean. I am actually considering getting a gm maf and dsmLink, it looks like a really good upgrade, especially seein as i have a eprom ecu already, just might have to send it in to get it socketed.

Btw my apexi downpipe came in yesterday and i was able to get it on, i just have to say the the butt dyno def. saw some unexpected gains, it def. spools a lot quicker now, but i am also running open downpipe w/o a cat or any kind of muffler/catback yet so it is extremely loud. i love it tho, anyway how have ya'lls experiences been with dsmLink/gm maf set up?

What they mean is that you may have to adjust the airflow sliders %30-%40 within the DSMlink program to get the desired results when you use the GM MAF in your upper intercooler pipe where the air is blown through (already pressurized) as opposed to draw through (before the turbo). Here's a screenshot of version 2:

If you do it that way with the blow through setup, you'll be able to vent your BOV.

I haven't personally tried version 3, but let's just say, when you get version 3, I'll be jealous. DSMlink is awesome!

GM maf setups are hard to be consistant because there is no standard location or intercooler piping size for the setups, so when Thomas designed this system it was calibrated to the car he was setting it up for so if your car is differant it will require some calibration to be perfect.

I am a big dsmlink advocate, and recomend it for everyone.
